Been a while……..

I haven’t posted on this blog in a while. Lots going on! In one month today, I am going to Seattle for Alissa’s wedding! *Excited* It has been 3 years since I have seen everyone. I am a bit nervous and excited. Sept 21, I am getting married!!! Yay! I couldn’t be happier with Brandon. We hit our 2 years 7-12-10. He is the best person ever. Best boyfriend, friend and fiance. We get a long so well. We might have our little tiffs, but nothing at all. We never yell at each other. I feel just as excited and happy about him today as I did in the beginning. Minus the nervousness. Hehe.

Since March 1st, I bought a treadmill and have been walking OR working out everyday. I have taken a few little breaks. (which is good) I changed how I eat, reduced calories, drink massive water, take vitamins, killed the fast food and etc. I have lost 61 lbs as of 7-24-10. I am pretty happy that I am actually doing this. I have never been so determined or motivated. 61 lbs in 19 weeks. I have some more to go, but I am getting in there. I have no doubt that I can do this. A good help has been the support of Brandon. Not only has he always loved me and accepted me as I was (61 lbs heavier), he is for sure has been positive reinforcement. He has never made me feel bad about being over weight. Not once. It is hard to believe that it possible. I guess it is for someone like me who grew up with my dad making fun of my mom for being over weight. I guess somewhere, I expected it. Then to be with someone who was 100% accepting of me and showed me total love, is amazing!!!

I began the proceedings to have my bankruptcy started. I am happy about this. Finally. It took me longer than I really wanted it to take, but it is happening. Brandon and I are working on our wedding plans. We are gonna get married in Vegas for sure. We don’t want a full on wedding that costs a ton. I really don’t want to be all stressed out and spend a lot of money. I am sure we will have a great time. I am excited.

YAY!!!! Brandon got a new job!

Last week Brandon officially got a new job! WOO! It was very close to 3 months of being out of work. NOT bad tho! We did super good on our budgeting/watching money! Of course I am happy that he has a job again because we need the money. BUT the MOST IMPORTANT part of this whole thing is that he has a job that he likes. I would much rather him find a job that he likes then be somewhere he was miserable at. I feel this is a great opportunity for him. It seems like there will be opportunity to learn new things and grow in the company. I love the fact that is a low to NO pressure job. I am sure there will be projects and things that he will work on that will require a lot of time and attention, but already it seems like this is a good fit for him. He is super lucky and only has a 5 minute drive to work.

Brandon asked me to marry him!

On September 3rd Brandon asked me to marry him. It was a Thursday and I was at home on my day off. I was sitting here on the computer, my hair all a mess and still in my jammies. Brandon had left for work about a couple hours before. I heard the door open. Brandon never comes home from work early. I was all stressed out for a minute. I thought maybe he got fired. Hehe! Then I see him with a dozen roses. I still had not connected the dots. He walks over to me, grabs my hand and asks me to come with him. He takes me into our room and got down on one knee, pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him. I said, “Yes!!!”

We have no date set right now. I think being engaged for a year at least would be good. We don’t want a big wedding or maybe even a traditional wedding. We could go for a courthouse wedding. =) Neither of us want to make a big deal, spend a ridiculous amount or have to worry about all the stress of planning and dealing with a wedding.

I feel very lucky to have met and fell in love with Brandon. I never could have dreamt that I would have met someone like him. Especially in Utah. I had no intent of dating anyone here. Everything happens for a reason and know I know a part of why I was meant to come here.

Baby Bella

One week ago we got a tiny little, itty bitty kitty. We went to the pet store to take a look at the animals and this lady had a box of 3 kitties she was trying to pawn off at this store. One girl -Bella and two little orange boy kitties. We decided to take the girl. The lady that was giving the kitties away, lied and said she was eating hard food. She was 6 weeks old and taken directly from her mom. Also the lady hid the fact that all 3 cats had eye infections. Hmm. We took Bella to the vet the next day and got her on medicine for her eyes and tomorrow she gets her first shots.
She is cute, feisty and we love her. Baby Bella Niki Olson.
